About Us
A few years ago, we became intrigued with Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys, and before we knew it we had fallen in love with these small, endearing donkeys and established a herd of our own. Our family hobby farm is located in the rolling hills of Northeastern Pennsylvania where our sweet Miniature Donkeys share their ranch with Soay Sheep, Babydoll Southdown Sheep, Great Pyrenees guardian dogs, horses, and chickens.
My husband and I, both veterinarians, firmly believe that learning to care for animals provides a great experience for young people. There seems to be no end to the benefits our children are receiving from this adventure, from fresh air, to physical strength, to leadership and husbandry skills…it’s all good.
We are grateful for this place, and look forward to blessing others with loving, quality animals raised right here at Shadowcross Mini-Ranch.
